Mining operations often rely on separate systems for fleet management, collision avoidance, braking intervention and machine guidance.
RaptorOS brings RaptorTech’s mining technologies together through one connected operating environment, helping mine owners and mining contractors reduce technology fragmentation while retaining the flexibility to deploy the capabilities their operation requires.
Mining technology can become difficult to manage when fleet management, collision avoidance, machine guidance, positioning and reporting operate through separate systems. Multiple interfaces, repeated hardware, disconnected workflows and additional integration requirements can increase complexity for operators, dispatch teams and technology personnel.
RaptorOS connects key RaptorTech mining technologies through a common operating environment, helping sites create a more consistent operational view and reduce unnecessary technology fragmentation. This connected hardware approach can reduce the number of separate screens required in the cab.
On-Machine Hardware Foundation
RaptorCore provides the on-machine processing and communications foundation for the RaptorTech environment. It receives information from machine interfaces, GNSS, sensors and operator inputs, processes and stores relevant data on the machine, and exchanges that information with the wider RaptorOS environment.
RaptorOS connects information from the machine through the RaptorCore hardware layer, mine-site communications and the wider platform environment.
Machine data, operator inputs and positioning information are processed through RaptorCore, transferred through the available communications layer and made available to the applications and reporting tools used by operators, supervisors and management.
The resulting operational information can support live monitoring, historical review, dashboards and reporting across the connected environment.
RaptorTech prefers to supply, install and support the communications infrastructure that connects mobile equipment across a mine site, using private LTE as the preferred backbone with Wi-Fi and peer-to-peer communications where appropriate, based on the network architecture.
This network infrastructure forms part of the RaptorCore hardware foundation and, under certain circumstances, can be integrated with existing site LTE infrastructure where required.
Not every mine needs to replace every technology system at once.
RaptorOS supports a modular approach to deployment, allowing operations to begin with the capability addressing the immediate requirement and expand the RaptorTech environment as operational needs develop.
For supported configurations, a common RaptorCore hardware foundation can reduce the number of separate screens required in the cab and allow additional RaptorTech capabilities to be added progressively without installing a separate technology system for each product.
RaptorTech’s subscription model is designed to support a more flexible approach to mining technology deployment.
Rather than concentrating technology investment into a large upfront purchase, the commercial model can support lower upfront CAPEX pressure, predictable monthly costs, staged deployment and scalable expansion as operational requirements change.
RaptorTech’s subscription model can reduce upfront CAPEX pressure and support staged deployment; for suitable projects, it can also deliver a lower whole-of-contract technology cost than traditional major mining-technology platforms.
Mining operations rarely begin with a blank technology environment.
RaptorTech is OEM-agnostic and designed for mixed-fleet mining environments, with RaptorTech capabilities able to coexist and integrate with existing mine-site technology where compatibility is supported.
Machine information can be sourced through different OEM interfaces, sensors, GNSS and operator inputs, with the physical installation configured around the equipment make, model and available data.
The objective is to deploy the RaptorTech capabilities that create operational value while reducing unnecessary complexity across the wider technology environment.
A RaptorOS deployment can include site assessment, technology configuration, installation, integration, training, operational validation, ongoing remote support and staged expansion as site requirements develop.
